SLACKER!!!

I will try to get this caught up today or tomorrow --- I know ... SLACKER! I got caught up in some collabs --- very exciting stuff :)

January 10

If you have never put eye drops in a 17 month old, you are missing out!

We had some snow today, and MJ has been DYING to try out her new shovel!!I made a layout with this photo too :) Used Duchess Designs - Twas the night before Christmas ;)

January 9

Today we took Lumpy back to the doctor. This morning her eye was swollen all the way shut (and I DO MEAN SHUT) when she woke up. I had to hold a warm washcloth on there for awhile before I could get it to even open a little bit. You can only imagine how difficult it was to hold her down and hold that washcloth on there ---- anywho....

I called the pedi, and didn't give them a chance to tell me no. I just told them I wanted a doc to see her eye. So, as it turns out, she has pink eye and an infection on the inside of her eyelid (YAY!). So, we have some eye drops (wish us luck with that). It isn't so bad when there are two of us to hold her down and put the drops in, but I can only imagine what it will be like with only me here when Mike is working.

So, no Elmo for Lauren :(

She stayed with my mom, so that me, Mike and MJ could go to see Sesame Street Live. This was her third time seeing a Sesame Street show, and by far she was the most excited !! She finally wasn't scared at all! We got the best pre-sale seats so we were in the third row (NO KIDDING--- why couldn't I get these for the New Kids back in 1990?)

Best part? Well, since we were so close, she got to hug Ernie, Zoe, the Count and THE HONKER ! Just as the Honker was coming down off the stage I leaned over and said, "That's Mommy's favorite - the Honker"... I think he heard me because he came right over and grabbed MJ's hand and honked his big ol' nose :) She cracked up!!!! Then at the end of the show they shot streamers and confetti from the ceiling and we were SHOWERED.

MJ's face was just priceless!!!

January 8

Well, it's my birthday today :) So my MJ went with Mike this morning and got my birthday cards and gift from the girls. She chose a Snow White card (that said for my Grandmother, that Mike crossed out and wrote in Mother), and a really pretty Tinkerbell statue from Hallmark. I loved it so much! After Mike went to work, MJ and I made brownies!

Lauren is finally feeling better, eating more and sleeping more. I think she is finally on the up-swing :) Thank goodness !

Today's picture happened after Cheryl brought my dinner over (Olive Garden for my bday)... MJ climbed in the To-Go bag and said, "Ok, take me out to the trash!".... we both looked back into the kitchen and saw this! What a sense of humor my little one has.... who knows where she gets it (eye roll)

Another rough day for Lauren (and the rest of us) ----

January 6

Lauren is feeling somewhat better... she still has more snot than an entire Kindergarten class combined, but her fever is pretty much gone. That makes me soooo happy. She was a little playful today, but still won't eat alot or sleep much at all. At least I feel like she is on the mend.

Madelyn got new jammies for Christmas with a Supergirl cape -- just like her cousin James (who loves Superman)... she was so proud of these jammies (yes she wore the cape to bed!)

January 5

It has been a rough day -- Lauren has a virus. We were at the pediatrician today --- and so the human blanket continues :)

Here is my sick baby :(
